The Andy family opened the resort in 1969 and still owns it, more than fifty years on the same stretch of Beach Avenue with the ocean directly out front. That means a wedding day here doesn't have to travel. Vows overlooking the water. Cocktails on the lawn facing the waves, in bloom through the summer and lit up for the holidays once the season turns. Dinner at the Pier House, the resort's waterfront restaurant, or in the Harbor Shell Room under crystal chandeliers, with sliding doors open to the Juliet balconies. Indoors or out, intimate or up to 200 guests.

Then everyone stays. Hotel rooms, suites, and condominium rentals sit steps from the sand, which turns a wedding into a rehearsal dinner, a welcome party, a morning after, and an afternoon on the beach before anyone drives home. The Cape May Lighthouse, the wineries, and Washington Street Mall are all a short trip away for guests with time to fill.

Every celebration is planned around the couple — their vision, guest count, timing, and how the weekend is meant to flow — with support that stays hands-on throughout. And couples are welcome to bring in the vendors they trust, whether or not those names appear on the resort's preferred list. The setting is La Mer's. The day is yours.
