A Celebration of Love, Family & Joy: Khayla & Michael’s Wedding

Month after month, our team receives and showcases stunning weddings from across the region, all courtesy of incredibly talented vendors and wonderful couples who share their special day with us. Each month, our editorial team selects one standout celebration to highlight—one that captures both beauty and meaning in a truly unforgettable way.

For this feature, we’re highlighting a wedding that radiated warmth, personal touches, and pure joy. Khayla Wehman and Michael Bottone celebrated their love with an intimate, heartfelt ceremony and reception at Johnson’s Locust Hall Farm in Jobstown, New Jersey—complete with everything from a fire pit and s’mores to a very special guest: Fancy the pony.

Their Journey Together
Khayla and Michael’s day was a true celebration of family and the people who matter most. With no formal wedding party, the couple kept the focus on meaningful moments and the loved ones surrounding them. From the very start, the day felt personal and relaxed—exactly the way they wanted it.

The Wedding Day
The celebration unfolded entirely at Johnson’s Locust Hall Farm, where the couple exchanged vows outdoors under a beautiful wedding arch. Khayla walked down the aisle in a Madison James gown from Kleinfeld Bridal, finished with a Christie Lauren veil. She and Michael both wore rings from Good As Gold Jewelers. Khayla even did her own hair and makeup, adding an extra layer of personal care to the morning.

Their ceremony was officiated by Kevin Klebacher (Khayla’s sister-in-law’s brother), and soft music from Allegro Event Music set the tone. Afterward, guests enjoyed cocktail hour and the reception with entertainment from Koi Event Group. The couple’s favorite vendors made the day seamless: day-of coordinator Allie Johnson kept everything running smoothly, while photographer Tim Anderson (a personal favorite) stayed flexible, helped with the timeline, and captured so many beautiful, candid moments.

Dinner, desserts, and catering all came from Toscano Ristorante, with both the bride’s and groom’s cakes lovingly made by Khayla’s Aunt Andrea Wehman. Guests also enjoyed sweets from Toscano, ambient lighting by Koi Event Group, and florals and candles from Leigh Florist. Outside, the farm setting came alive with a fire pit and s’mores, cornhole, lounge seating, and of course—Fancy the pony.

Favors were thoughtfully handmade: customized honey jars, small candles, and hand-packed loose-leaf tea bags from Etsy, all tucked into small gift bags with dried flowers.

A Lesson in Love
When asked what they learned from planning their wedding, Khayla shared a simple but true piece of advice: “Accept all the help you can get!” Their day came together thanks to a wonderful team, and they especially credit photographer Tim Anderson—who they discovered through, and who first introduced them to, Wed Society.

Khayla & Michael’s Favorite Wedding Day Memory
“Our first look and saying our vows in private.”

That quiet, intimate exchange became the emotional heart of their day—a private moment of connection amid all the celebration, family, and joy surrounding them.

Khayla and Michael’s wedding was a beautiful reminder that the most meaningful celebrations are those that feel true to the couple. Surrounded by family, thoughtful details, and the people who love them most, they began their marriage in the very best way.
